Commerce & Identity Platform of Electronic Arts(EADP) is one of the largest platform to power hundreds of games played by hundreds of millions of gamers, including FIFA, Battlefield, Origin and so on. The commerce & identity platform is responsible for providing foundation services to game studios including identity management, authorization, subscription, billing, payment, risk and fraud at 24x7 with high reliability.As a software engineer in EADP infra team, my primary responsibility is to design and implement new features for our various web services and adopt new technologies to continuous enhance EA digital platform. o Design, implement deidentification framework to regularly check, notify and remove certain inactive user accounts. o Design, implement generalized Kafka steaming service to pipeline all kinds of events need to be analyzed. o Design, implement centralized message bus framework to deliver various notifications to various customers with high availability and scalability as well as implementing shard aware notification service to deliver notifications to message bus. o Design, implement general auto failover solution for MySQL and NoSQL databases to enhance availability. o Design, implement general separated crypto service to encrypt/decrypt sensitive PCI data. o Design, implement data migration solution from Oracle to MySQL for large volume oracle tables with zero down time. o Implement and improve identity and billing REST application service for adopting MySQL as primary database. o Design, Implement REST service for batch job frameworks. o Implement and improve Memcached client for better performance and higher availability. o Troubleshooting and fix online issues of EA digital platform.
