- Conducts theoretical analysis on multiple projects, including developing mathematicalmodelings, algorithms to solve engineering problems on various aspects like heat transfer,vibration, energy conversion.- Develops software programs to implement modelings and find analytical solutions withvarious languages like Matlab and Java.- Writes embedded scripts with C++ to perform subtle mesh and high-performancecomputation on enterprise level FEA softwares like Ansys, Abaqus, and Comsol.- Architects the data collection system that support reading and writing massiveexperimental data automatically, and implement it with C++ and Matlab.- Performs data regression analysis on analytical solutions, simulations outputs, andexperimental data, generates data visualizations with Matlab and Mathematica programs.- Designs optimizations strategies on existing models and prototype following variousoptimization algorithms, and programs to calculate the optimized results.- Participates the designing and programming of energy conversion electrical circuits.- Writes academic journal and conference papers, thesis, report to sponsors.- Conducts on-campus and off-campus experiments.- Designs, fabricates and assembles prototypes.- Demonstrates lab’s research achievements by making presentation to broader audience.
