About Jie Chen, Eit

I am a fourth-year Civil Engineering student at Georgia Tech with a major interest in promoting sustainable and interdisciplinary development in the engineering field. Particularly, I am interested in pursuing a full-time position after graduation in May 2024 for a water resources or related position in the design and consulting industry.My work background involves undergraduate research positions in the energy sector field, transportation field, and even the hydraulic engineering field. This summer, I was a project management intern working for a general contractor in D.C. learning more about the construction phase of the industry.As a STEM oriented student, I tend to enjoy methodical and analytical work, particularly in engineering design or systems analysis. Beyond my academic interests, I enjoy working on my 3D modeling and animation skills, cooking, playing chess, and occasionally learning how to play an instrument.
