Korea Tourism Startup Association is a representative organization for tourism startups based in Korea. The association is officially registered under the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The association closely work with the Korea Tourism Organization and other local tourism organizations for partnerships with tourism startups. I am one of the founding members for this association and have worked as the Secretary General and a Board member since its establishment.

I work as the Program Manager for CANnovate, an innovative no-code acceleration program. This program targets non-tech founders and teams across Web2 and Web3 startups, identifying exceptional applicants to provide comprehensive support for developing their services using our solutions. My role encompasses the full spectrum of program development: from designing the curriculum, promoting the application process, and rigorously selecting participants, to managing contracts and guiding them through the entire service planning to product launch journey.

Parentree is an online marketplace which provides access to a community of parents to share experience and valuable information and advice to ensure all parents stay happy, confident and connected through every stage of parenthood.Every parent gets on-the-job training as they take on the new responsibility of being a parent. Therefore, access to useful information and valuable advice is essential for parents to cultivate their own parenting skills.Parentree understands the importance and brilliance of shared experience and knowledge, so we connect parents to peers and/or senior parents with similar interests through our online marketplace. We aim to build collective intelligence to help deliver what parents need when they need it.

Provided an acceleration program tailored to 11 foreign startups developing business in Korea. The program I planned and managed includes organizing networking events and practical seminars, supporting each company's IR & PR efforts, and keeping up with their business development KPIs. I was also in responsible of communicating and reporting to the government agency for the overall program regarding our performances and budgets.

I am writing columns biweekly at W lifestyle magazine published by the Korea Times since July, 2014. My columns are mostly about my travel experiences and insights on tourism I gained throughout my journey.

After twenty-two months of working as a civil servant, I decided to quit and travel around the world for 260 days. Even though I was proud of my job title as a manager at the tourism business division, I realized that I did not know enough about the concept of tourism, either in practice or in academia. Thus I decided to be a tourist (or a traveler) myself to figure out how tourism works in other cities, especially those that are most popular travel destinations in the world. I visited 19 countries, including many of the world’s most popular tourist attractions, and interview 30 tourism organizations. I am confident I have experienced the invisible force of tourism throughout this journey by meeting people who are actually making tourism work in the real world.
