My role sits on the main GNS board, supporting the leadership team in identifying and managing legal risks and opportunities, advising early on future strategy (including product development) and supporting the business's growth plans.

I lead the Rule of Law program at LexisNexis UK.Advancing the Rule of Law around the world is at the very core of LexisNexis's global strategy - it is our higher purpose and shapes our organisation. We define the Rule of Law as being made up for four elements:(a) Equality Under the Law - the law treats everyone equally.(b) Transparency of the Law - everyone should have access to the laws and know what they are.(c) Independent Judiciary - the judges who interpret and enforce the law are not influenced by external factors or parties.(d) Accessible Legal Remedy - everyone should have access to the justice system.I lead and support various projects across the UK business which fall into one of these strands, including our work on the Business for the Rule of Law initiative, our support for Apprenticship Levy payments to increase skills in the free legal advice sector, and our report on Legal Aid Deserts.

This role was part of the Go To Market division of LexisNexis UK. Leading a team of c.40 people, covering pre- and post-sale support, ensuring customers get the best understanding of our products and tools. The department incorporated 4 different teams, including desk- and field-based staff, with my role a combination of direct line resposibility and managing managers.
