Leading research and biz development in the field of next-gen data security and privacy and also providing consultations to and closely working with the Samsung Cybersecurity Center of Excellence. Recent works incldue designing and implementing post-quantum crypto (PQC) algorithms and participating in the 'Migration to PQC' project with NIST, as well as NIST's PQC standardiztion; focusing on privacy enhancing techs, e.g. involved in writing 'The PET Guide' with the UN PET task team, and currently working as an editor on standardization projects related to Fully Hommorphic Encryption (FHE) and Multi-Party Computation (MPC) in ISO/IEC and ITU-T. Other ongoing projects inlcude AI-related security, H/W-assisted infra securities, cloud native security, SW vulnerability testing, anti-malware, etc. Achievements in technology incubation include more than 60 references across various verticals including consumer electronics products, manufacturing, finances, retails, home/industrial IoT, logistics, defense, and more, which had been recognized with the prestigious SAMSUNG TECHNOLOGY AWARD. Engaging in collaborations with multiple universities, research and engineering efforts have led to publications, standardizations (wihtin ISO/IEC and ITU-T), and the filing of patented technologies (20+ US patents granted).Previously as a mobile security architect in LG Electronics, conducted several HW security projects, including secure boot, TrustZone and data encryption, contents protection, secure mobile payment and enterprise mobility. Also involved in strategy planning for standardization (e.g. NFC, IEEE 802.x).
