I design and facilitate professional learning fellowships and workshops for educators seeking to weave learning ecosystems. We focus on co-creating real-world learning experiences with students and community partners that contribute to individual well-being and the vitality of whole communities.

- Research equitable, sustainable, and transformative education models to support school redesign and expansion process- Plan and provide materials for professional development series as requested by the Head of School- Disaggregate large data sets (survey responses, test scores) into digestible information for the school community to analyze- Design planning tools and resources for teachers that promote deeper learning and cohesive learning experiences for students- Developed and implemented a training program to onboard all new writing workshop teachers

- Co-created mission and vision for new elementary school- Collaborated with Head of School and EL School Designer to draft school’s five year goals and work plan with yearly benchmarks to assess progress- Closely analyzed the EL Education’s ELA K-3 curriculum in order to design all module level, unit level, and lesson level collaborative and individual planning and preparation structures- Developed and executed multi-step hiring process for teachers and teaching associates- Researched best practices of and visited several high performing EL Education schools to create our school’s comprehensive assessment and academic intervention plan- Crafted year-long pacing guides for Kindergarten and 1st grade including ELA (Module, Skills, Labs), math and Crew- Designed a PD series for the elementary and middle school staff to align our vision of student achievement through the creation of a profile of a graduate- Managed several large scale projects including Presentations of Learning - requiring collaboration and coordination between all teachers, instructional leaders, operations staff, students, families and community members so that each student can successfully present a high quality overview of their growth and achievement to a panel of teachers, family and community members at the close of each school year

- Developed and managed school-wide, multi-tiered reading intervention and extension program - Wrote the school-wide Reading Zone curriculum – an extra reading period in the school day devoted to developing students’ love of reading alongside their reading proficiency- Designed and implemented school-wide reading level data collection systems - Trained teachers to assess reading levels using the Fountas and Pinnell system and led several PD sessions to support teachers in utilizing reading data to inform instruction- Led PD sessions about engaging reluctant readers and deliberately cultivating students’ reading lives- Coached all writing teachers as well as a set of new teachers through collaborative goal setting, weekly reflection, practice, observation and feedback

- Wrote and implemented original, project-based, Common Core aligned ELA curriculum around issues such as: global illiteracy, the effects of sugar, teen advocacy, democracy, acceptance and belonging, and climate change- Wrote and implemented original writing workshop units including: The Privacy Debate - evidence based argument writing in response to Radiolab’s “Eye in the Sky” podcast and Student Council Campaign Speech Writing - resulting in the school’s first student council voted in by their peers- Collaborated with grade team teachers to adapt curriculum for interdisciplinary learning expeditions as well as content teams to ensure vertical alignment of standards taught and assessed- Worked closely with co-teacher and instructional coach to regularly evaluate student assessment data, write and track IEP goals, and differentiate instruction - Utilized Google applications (primarily Google Docs, Google Forms, and Google Slides) to provide immediate feedback on student work, to interact with students as they write, and to collect data- Designed a growth mindset unit of study through my participation in High Tech High’s Educational Leadership Academy- Wrote a school-wide Crew unit on Gratitude after attending a Character Lab Institute

- Designed and led leadership team visioning session to define the program’s intended student outcomes (competencies and the indicators of those competencies)- Crafted Dual School Student Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies Resource- Developed a program efficacy data collection plan - Created all data collection tools (surveys, rubrics, feedback forms, and portfolio requirements)- Provided agendas for all upcoming leadership data analysis meetings for continued program evaluation and adjustment

• Developed the Global Compassion Project: a nonfiction research unit in conjunction with micro-lending website, Kiva • Implemented Common Core aligned units around the following texts: Animal Farm, Lord of the Flies, Warriors Don’t Cry, Boy in the Striped Pajamas, Chew on This, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Rules, and A Taste of Blackberries• Attended weekly professional development seminars and collaborated with English Language Arts teachers across the school and network to adjust the literature and writing curriculum to meet the needs of the Common Core • Observed weekly by instructional coach and combined coach feedback with scholar assessment data to continuously inform teaching practices and ensure scholar growth• Utilized Athena platform to analyze student performance, recorded grades and family contact in Infinite Campus, served as an adviser to a small group of students
