At the age of 30, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The doctors told me that the odds of surviving were not in my favor. I endured six months of chemotherapy, seven weeks of radiation, and a complete hysterectomy. Some would have used this bout of misfortune as an opportunity to resign themselves to fate; I chose a better path.Since my diagnosis, I have redoubled my devotion to volunteerism. I currently volunteer at the American Cancer Society, the Young Survival Coalition, and the Honor Flight Network, and am an active member of the service-minded National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution. As of 2014, I have served as Elections Clerk for the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Office. I welcome the opportunity to connect with other individuals locally and beyond who seek to give back.I bring the same level of commitment to my work as a Senior Systems Engineer at Logic Springs Technologies. I am passionate about the field of Information Technology, particularly Cybersecurity. My career began at the Department of Defense and has transitioned into a renewed focus on Digital Forensics and Security Management.
