Responsible for leading Moderna’s relationship with professional societies, including managing sponsorships, creating and executing collaboration opportunities, and collaborating cross functionally with internal partners to develop and strengthen relationships. Societies include those with vaccine interest such as infectious disease, primary care, pharmacy, and speciality organizations. Partner with commercial colleagues as needed for medical input with key national accounts, such as national pharmacy chains and payors.

Inaugural Medical Affairs Lead tasked with forming a new Medical Affairs department. Developed and executed medical affairs strategy including initiating and managing cross functional collaborations, SOP development, creation of MLR Review Committee, publication planning, and development of medical strategy and medical materials for company’s DNA Technology and for the COVID-19 vaccine candidates.

Collaborate with external experts in assigned geography to facilitate education, awareness, and advocacy for infectious disease research, pipeline development and policy decisions in compliance with all regulatory, ethical,and legal standards.Achievements:2017 Teamwork Award 2019 Mentor AwardLed cross-functional Medical Affairs/External Affairs project aimed to improve legislator vaccine education. Conducted market research and literature review to create an infographic. Infographic approved for use with legislators, immunization advocates, public health advocates and external experts. Led national immunization policy strategic initiative for MSL team to identify the most important upcoming policy level initiatives and potential MSL sphere of influence. Led cross-functional medical strategy initiative surrounding RSV and pertussis disease bridging medical director strategic vision and MSL external expert interactions in order to inform medical strategy. Trained 15 new MSLs on immunization policy and identify policy-related educational opportunities for MSL team. Informed and strategized immunization policy initiatives for 6 years (2010-2016) as part of immunization policy team. Policy initiatives included meningococcal vaccine booster, universal influenza vaccination, maternal immunization advocacy for influenza and pertussis

Spearheaded meningococcal vaccine policy project in greater NYC area. Drove college-level policy adoption of meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine as part of incoming student prematriculation health requirements.

Led NYC division in pediatric vaccine sales, winning 2 Hall of Honor and 1 Rookie of the Year Award.
