Working with a diverse group of incarcerated men with a variety of substance abuse addictions has allowed me to gain a better understanding of how addictions can manipulate behaviors and commit criminal activity in a variety of social demographics. I teach them cogitative behavioral therapy individually and group sessions with the hope of reducing recidivism. I enjoy "peeling back the layers of the onion" to gain a better understanding of their thoughts and behaviors.
