I am a career fine art painter specializing in oil painting with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA) focused in illustration. I get my inspiration while working outside “en plein aire” doing small paintings which are my field notes on sunlight effect, color and shadow design. Painting out in nature inspires ideas to bring home to my sky lit studio where I work on larger canvases. I enjoy teaching when opportunities arrive. I taught art classes at the Atherton California after school program, taught summer art camp at the Palo Alto Art League and an adult painting class at the Palo Alto Art Center. As a young girl I trained with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) classical ballet program in Southern California and have performed with ballet troupes and as a soloist. I am delighted to work with adults and children whether teaching art or ballet and have a fun and creative way of inspiring them into doing their best.
