On my ninth year working full-time with OPG. I realized quickly the great opportunities that this company provides to improve and advance. 2010 I started as a admin clerk (temp) 27 - accepted full time position as a janitor. (I quickly started post secondary school to work towards a mechanical technician) - I then became a supervisor for the janitor department. At Lennox GS. Promoted to Civil Maintainer. - recently accepted a full time position as a mechanical technician. My passion is recruiting and bringing knowledge of the trades to the youth. - I have performed a virtual company wide talk - “Opening Doors for women in the trades”. -Put together and led a team of tradespeople (12) and worked with Skills Ontario to set up an interactive information session at St. Lawrence College March 2023. Recently May 2023, led a team from RG and participated in the Ontario Skills Event held in Toronto. Been a Union Steward for two groups. Currently on Joint Health and Safety.
