Officer in charge (OIC) of Veterinary Operations for the 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion in Green Bay, WI. Serve as a subject matter expert for veterinary preventive medicine and public health issues in our area of operation. Oversee food safety, sanitation and defense programs for the battalion. Educate and share veterinary knowledge with fellow Soldiers and partner forces.

Served as Veterinary Preventive Medicine Officer for Civil Affairs functional specialty team (FXSP) under SETAF. Planned and coordinated herd health veterinary engagements in partnership with Djiboutian Ministry of Agriculture and U.S. Embassy. Participated in Africa-wide vaccine campaign for sheep and goats. Conducted food and water risk assessments (FWRAs) in Morocco and Cameroon in support of African Lion 2024 and West Africa Logistics Conference. Addressed food safety and defense concerns at out station in Somalia.

Founder and President of the first house-call small animal veterinary practice in Michigan’s Eastern Upper Peninsula. Expanded practice due to demand for services into a hybrid practice model to include both mobile/house-call as well as traditional brick and mortar facility services. Offer high-quality veterinary medicine and surgery while maintaining personal care and connections with clients and their pets.

Supervised a team of seven Soldiers part of the 169th Veterinary Detachment serving throughout Iraq and Syria as part of Combined Joint Task Force (CJTF) - Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR). Coordinated and planned veterinary missions with partner forces throughout our area of operation. Conducted educational and training experiences for Joint Task Force (JTF) MED 374 human medical providers and coalition forces on Military Working Dog (MWD) emergency care. Served as an advisor and medical provider for Iraqi Counter Terrorism Services (CTS) MWD program. Oversaw veterinary food inspectors providing food safety, sanitation and defense services in our area of operation.

Served as commander for veterinary civil affairs missions in Uganda, Tanzania and Ethiopia. Partnered with local veterinarians and community animal health workers (CAHWs) to share knowledge through educational programs. Facilitated treatment for cattle, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, poultry and served in an advisory capacity with partner forces and NGOs (Non-governmental Organizations). Worked with partners to enhance stability operations and capabilities.
