Duties include scheduling board meetings and retreats, creating the organization’s first online grant application, organizing submitted applications for board review, creating and maintaining grant tracking tools, and regular communication with board members and potential and current grantees. A strong focus of my work with this board in the past year has been to implement trust-based philanthropic practices into their grant-making.Co-lead all outreach to professional advisors across Arizona, including investment managers, bank and trust officers, estate planning attorneys, accountants, insurance agents, etc. Create a quarterly e-newsletter for all professional advisors in the database (2,000+). Facilitate the 40-member Professional Advisory Board, planning three board meetings annually, as well as various social/networking events, recruiting new board members, and maintaining clear and consistent communication.Co-manage, along with the Center for Jewish Philanthropy, the Tax & Legal Seminar, a 4-hour professional development event that features a national speaker(s) and continued education credits for an audience of 300+ professional advisors. This Seminar is the premier event of its kind in Arizona and across the Southwestern United States for tax professionals and estate planning attorneys.
