The purchase was completed in March 1997 at a price of £900,000. The turnover at the time was £570,000 per annum. I planned and managed the operational team and dealt with all project and revenue purchasing decisions. Occupancy was increased to 41 beds over a short period, and I managed the registration and operational changes required to achieve this. In January 2002 I received an offer to sell the business to a large corporate provider. The sale was completed in July 2002 for £1.4 million realising a net gain of £500,000. The annual turnover for the year to March 2002 was £887,000, an increase of 55%.

Whilst in the position of production manager I was responsible for 200 production staff.
