Jill Saxon, Ph.D., BCBA-D, is a Behavior Analyst in private practice and the owner of Functional Behavior Solutions, LLC. Jill is a Licensed Behavior Analyst in New York State and Massachusetts. She provides behavioral consultation and ABA services to families and schools, focusing on children with autism, anxiety and OCD symptoms, feeding challenges, behavioral challenges, and ADHD. Beyond targeting individual behaviors, Jill works with families to improve the skills and overall quality of life for their child through pragmatic, evidence-based treatment and consultation based on the principles of ABA. Jill has particular interest in family-based approaches to build adaptive coping skills, emotional regulation, and behavioral flexibility through Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT).Jill previously worked as a Behavioral Consultant/District Behaviorist at a public school district in Northern New Jersey and as a Behavior Analyst at Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center (DDDC) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. In these roles, Jill worked with public school teaching staff and related service professionals, Directors of Special Services, and Child Study Teams to provide support to students with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges. Jill earned a doctorate in Developmental Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She completed her coursework for the BCBA at DDDC. She worked as a Child Development Specialist in the New Jersey Early Intervention System, as a private direct ABA therapist, and as a Program Coordinator of a large private early childhood education program. Jill has authored articles in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and college-level textbook supplements and has presented at the Autism New Jersey Annual Conference and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science World Conference. She is a member of the Association for Behavior Analysis International, the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, NJABA, NYSABA, Autism New Jersey, and the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts. She recently served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the Van Loan School of Graduate and Professional Studies at Endicott College.
