I oversee a 4-member team, planning and executing 50-60 meetings/year, and annual budget of ~$2 million in event spend. I enjoy managing a team and providing guidance to the team while empowering them to take ownership on their projects. I love the opportunity to work with all levels of the organization, and view building relationship with employees as one of the best parts of the job. I also handle project management, Cvent administration, sourcing, contract negotiations, site selection, room block management, vendor/venue management, executive briefings, team leadership, and directing other departments on larger events (CEO office, creative team, security, facilities, communications, AV/production, etc.).

I was hired into this role which involved managing 30 events on behalf of 25 Leadership Councils (aka chapters). I additionally handled ~75-100 webinars yearly, with a $500,000 budget. Handled project management, sourcing, contract negotiation, site selection, database administration, vendor relations, venue management, registration, room blocks, A / V production, event marketing / promotion, website updates, quarterly council leadership calls, and VIP management at organization-wide events.

Initially hired as an event manager in one of the business sectors, I was then asked to move to the U.S. corporate HQ in the same role before being promoted to a director-level role. I learned how to manage and collaborate on planning events while also working closely with the C-suite. As an additional honor, I was asked to be the U.S. Campaign Manager for our global Chairman's Awards program which involved working on a global team. I managed an annual budget of $1.5 million, and directed a small team in planning and executing 20-25 events each year, which included leadership events, functional/department events, retirement parties, holiday parties, and board meetings. I also partnered on community events, and provided meeting and protocol support for Tier 1 global tradeshows. Handled project management, sourcing, contract negotiations, site selection, room blocks, Cvent, vendors / venues, as well as briefed executives on events. Provided team leadership including staff reviews and career growth, and worked as team lead on large events.
