- Work with European marketing dept. to define and develop market-oriented products, develop and execute sourcing strategies- Attend trade fairs seeking new products and suppliers for EINHELL who can deliver quality products with optimal price- Screen and preselect potential suppliers and propose new products up to our technical standard to enlarge and complete our product range- Organize comparison tests with assists from Technical Dept. to analyze product performance and cost- Negotiate base on product design, technical improvement, procurement terms, and draft contracts- Develop cost reduction plan, constantly review product cost, negotiate with suppliers and find alternative suppliers for cost down- Support Finance dept. providing the forecast for amortization of tooling costs, negotiate payment terms- Support Export and QC dept. for on-time delivery and promised quality- Maintain and improve the quality, cost, shipping performance, payment terms of existing suppliers- Source right suppliers and right products for Discounters and DIY stores, i.e. LIDL, ALDI, BAUHAUS, NORMA, EDEKA, PENNY, etc.

I interned in Outdoor furniture Dept. & Textile Dept. for 6 months, later worked in Tool dept. focusing mainly on power tools, gasoline powered tools, pneumatic tools, car accessories and other DIY products for METRO Group and its sales brand Metro C&C, Makro C&C, Real, Praktiker, Max Bahr, trade to more than 34 countries in Europe, Africa and Asia. - Source new products and reliable suppliers to fulfill customers' requirements- Evaluate and screen offers, negotiate for a good price on fine quality level- Product development, assist QA Dept., monitor test process, and ensure the product meet requested quality- Assist artworks development, working closely with Own Brand Development dept. by arrange samples for photo shots, define technical specification, collect die-cut, etc.- Place orders in ERP system, hedge currency, publish purchase and sales orders- Book QC inspection & pre-shipment, prepare QC files- Solve quality problems together with the suppliers found in QC inspection- Assist Logistics and Export dept. regarding the shipments and export documents- Customer service and support- Settle claim between customer and supplier- Maintain good relationship with oversea buyers, regularly marketing new products on trends to the buyers to increase the sales turnover- Prepare itinerary for customers' buying trips, and organize group buying events- Accomplish other tasks assigned by management level
