    Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate, an Educational Non-profit, headquartered at the University of Pittsburgh, sponsored by the Carnegie Foundation As the Executive Director, I direct efforts to support over 100 US & international institutions in redesigning the education doctorate; marketing, grant applications, website management. Present to and recruit members; Research and contribute to publications.In 2007, recruited 25 universities with a $150,000 grant to rethink the design and purpose (and reputation) of the education doctorate; incorporated in 2014 and filed for 501c3 nonprofit status in 2014. Created bylaws, supported board selection, created website and designed bi-annual meetings. Promoted organization at national conferences and international events growing organization three-fold. Continue to design biannual convening agendas and activities, oversee daily operations with four staff members and publish learning and support materials in academic and non-academic journals.Successes: Since 2007, built CPED into a thriving non-profit with a $300,000 annual budget, grew from 25 to 110 universities. Received three grants (US Dept of Ed- $700,000, WT Grant Foundation- $500,000, Spencer Foundation $75,000), reframed perception of the degree to be a strong professional doctorate.

    In this position, I support the redesign of and teach foundations and Inquiry courses in the Pitt Education Doctorate (EdD) Program. My research focused on understaning how schools of education changed as a result of being a member of the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate (CPED). To that end, I received a $700,000 US Dept of Education Fund for the Improvement of Secondary Education (FIPSE) grant to upscale my dissertation work. With this grant, I managed a 38 person research team in gathering and analyzing data from 21 original members of CPED.
