In my role as a physician liaison, I provided go-live support for physicians throughout Epic software implementations. In this role, I functioned as a liaison between physicians, clinical informaticists, and hospital leadership to ensure that software build sufficiently meets high level physician documentation requirements. Through relationship building and ongoing system integrity advocacy, I sought to optimize current build and enhance the physician software experience. I tracked and provided updates on build requests, developing curriculum, and presenting training to physician groups via written content, virtual learning sessions, and individual 1-on-1 support initiatives.

In my role with Centura, I managed go-live processes for 17 hospitals located throughout Colorado, assisting with building, implementing, and supporting of electronic medical record software application (Epic) rollouts while leveraging my advanced knowledge of Epic capabilities and experience as a healthcare provider in order to better design and execute on plans for full-scale implementations and upgrades.I collaborated directly with Epic Support team and hospital staff on integration from start to finish, assessing needs, presenting on system optimization, and facilitating care team trainings. I design and launch testing processes for better assessing application performance in order to serve end users with enhanced problem-solving solutions to IT tickets. I also served as Charging Lead, working closely with clinical managers while reviewing integrity to ensure that both hospital and professional charges were correct and evaluate and score end user requests as well as complete site visits to analyze complex clinical workflows in an effort to promote process improvement and decrease screen time for clinicians. Lastly, I escalated patient concerns to appropriate clinical and legal representatives in order to assure safety and compliance, working effectively under high stress scenarios and requests.

As an RN, I delivered care and administered medication to 140 children, ages 5-17, per session, communicating health concerns to physicians and parents as needed. I designed a system for managing camper medications and streamlining the check-in process, thus ensuring medications were inspected by both a nurse and a parent prior to camper drop-off. I also created an allergy bracelet initiative for kids with peanut, gluten, and dairy allergies in order to better identify these children and promote safe eating at mealtimes.

While with the Mayo Clinic, I provided pre/post procedure care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, electro-physiological studies, ablations, valve replacements, and pacemaker/ICD insertions. I worked as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team to help develop care plans and educate patients on the considerable benefits of their best practice treatments while assessing their readiness to return home. I presented research to Mayo Clinic leadership on the impact of utilizing vascular closure devices versus manual compression following femoral sheath removal as well as presented a fall risk initiative which maintained patient integrity while also alerting care takers and hospital staff that a patient was at an increased risk of falling.
