Jill’s critical understanding of commercial lending allows her to pursue business opportunities for clients while minimizing the risks of large, complicated loans. Jill's clients include major corporations, public-private ventures, commercial banks and private funds. She is distinguished for her representation in complex financing transactions, both secured and unsecured. Jill has served as primary counsel for a large publicly-held REIT which develops first-class regional shopping malls throughout the U.S. She represented this client in the $2.55 billion commercial mortgage-backed securitized (CMBS) financing of its headquarters and 28 portfolio properties - one of the single largest CMBS transactions ever consummated. Jill also represents private developers in joint ventures formed with the U.S. Military for privatization and redevelopment of military family and unaccompanied personnel housing under the Residential Communities Initiative. Jill works with clients on both customary commercial financings and more complex, unusual transactions, including distressed loan workouts, commercial foreclosures and debtor-in-possession financings.
