Jill Dempsey is a seasoned executive leader with nearly 20 years of experience driving impactful initiatives across the nonprofit, private equity, and for-profit growth sectors. As Executive Director of US Friends of AMAR, she leads transformative programs that deliver medical care, education, and humanitarian aid to refugees and displaced communities in the Middle East.Jill is also Managing Partner of Cedar Equity, a firm specializing in the acquisition and development of wedding and event venues.Her previous roles include leading Liberty Equity, a firm focused on corporate divestments, and serving as Partner in a $100 million private equity fund. She has also held executive positions (CEO, CFO, and COO) in growth-stage companies, managing investments and transactions totaling over $500 million.Jill is deeply committed to fostering social impact. She serves on the boards of Snow College’s GRIT Center for Rural Entrepreneurship and Watering Hope, leveraging her expertise to advance education and sustainable development. Her sector experience spans alternative finance, transportation, real estate, aquaculture, consumer goods, and health & wellness.She holds a B.S. in Business Management with emphases in Finance and Entrepreneurship from BYU Marriott School of Business and an M.A. in Nonprofit Management from Johns Hopkins University.
