Founded in 2017, The Nue Co. makes supplements designed to redefine our attitudes to health and has grown rapidly over the past 3 years. I joined the team just after they had raised $9 million in series A funding and was tasked with making some short term improvements to the e-commerce site to increase conversion.

Workshub has been creating techincal communities of software engineers and companies since 2017, striving to remove the existing barriers to hiring tech talent. I lead all aspects of design across product, ux, brand and marketing, working in a cross-functional team with the CPO, CTO and 2 engineers. We built it up from its MVP (a simple jobsboard) to an innovative multi-feature recruitment platform.

Owned by Condé Nast and launched in 2016, Style.com was a luxury online marketplace which strived to create a seamless content and commerce experience for its users through innovative digital features. The product suite consisted of the main transactional site, the Vogue and GQ shopping layer, Stylecloud (a wish list with recommendations) and our customised CMS. The business was acquired by Farfetch in June 2017

Reporting to the editor-in-chief, I design digital content for all areas and territories of my-wardrobe.com. This includes home pages, online interactive features, brand and trend pages, micro sites and brand partnership campaigns with Evian, Dell and Puma.Other responsibilities include art direction of photo shoots, designing emails and banners, uploading and coding content in the site’s CMS, re-design of the PDP, creating wireframes and UX design.

Working in the e-commerce team, for four months I was the acting senior designer, managing the digital and print workload for myself, a freelancer and a junior designer over three brands – French Connection, Great Plains and Tegan.Special digital projects included designing and assisting with the art-direction of the AW11 Christmas gift shop, creating digital content for the launch of French Connection Home and working with external consultants on improving the UX of the site and customer journey.I was the lead print-designer in the team and designed and project-managed 3 look books per season.

I was the sole full-time in-house designer at Children 1st. Projects included designing the annual report, event invitations, fundraising materials, Christmas cards, service leaflets, print & HTML newsletters, adverts and social media graphics. I was heavily involved in the brand refresh, writing and designing the new brand guidelines and creating stationery.

At the Gate I created brochures, promotional literature, press and television advertising, pitch visuals, direct mail, packaging, web graphics, branding and stationery. –The role involved working closely with a copy writer to devise creative solutions, art-directing photo shoots and TV commericals, commissioning photography and illustration and attending client meetings to present creative. –Clients included M&S, Standard Life, Clydesdale Bank, the Scottish Government and Southern Electric.
