Teach a broad range of undergraduate computer science courses, such as introductory programming, data structures, web development, mobile development, database management, networking, security, software engineering, and machine learning. Passionate about equity and inclusion with a focus on providing accessible, relevant, and hands-on learning experiences for students.

CS for Oregon seeks to diversify classrooms and engage historically underrepresented students in computer science by increasing the number of Exploring Computer Science classes in Oregon's high schools, providing professional development to in-service teachers, preparing pre-service teachers with computing knowledge and pedagogy, researching school and district implementation, and informing state and local policies around computing education.

The Computer Science Playbook is a collaborative, multi-district effort focused on developing K-12 pathways and roadmaps that provide cohesive, scaffolded learning opportunities for students, focusing on equity, engagement, and access for all.

Developed courses and pathways for engineering and computer science. Formed partnerships with higher education, community, and industry to provide college credit, internship, and volunteer opportunities to students. Team member in the research and development of a 500K (Education Technology Industry Council)ETIC grant and 350K Career and Technical Education(CTE) Revitalization grant. Organized Hour of Code participation in multiple classrooms and paired advanced computer science students with teachers. Provided teacher professional development within my district and as part of the Oregon Computer Science Teacher's Association on topics including programming, education technology, and engineering. Always striving to learn and grow as an educator and individual.

Worked in collaboration with industry, education, and workforce to define and develop a state-wide network to easily connect business and community resources to schools, teachers and students. Developed relationships with STEM mentors, programs and volunteers to inspire students and highlight the value of STEM activities, connect STEM out-of-school activities to the classroom, and utilize the region’s rich industry and community resources.

Piloted and ran the Tualatin Technology after school program comprised of FIRST Robotics teams, Oregon Game Programming teams, and Willamette Programming Competition teams. Developed and managed team outreach efforts including web and social, engaged community and industry partners, raised and managed program funds.

Designed hardware solutions for the PC. Worked on Plug and Play architecture and design as well as video capture solutions using the PCI bus.

Hardware design engineer working on flight simulation systems. Designed hardware and wrote microcode for their display subsystems. Utah is a beautiful state and I was privileged to work with a fantastic group of people!
