I fortuitously fell in love with wine during a long career working in restaurants while simultaneously dabbling in photography, writing, personal training, heliboarding, rally racing, and Muay Thai fighting. I discovered my passion for wine while working at wine shops and restaurants in Los Angeles and during my travels with my dad, who runs an international ski tour company. While in Los Angeles, I completed my WSET level 3 Award in Wines and Italian Wine Specialist Certification through NASA. I spent years working as a manager and sommelier at top restaurants in Los Angeles before moving to Oregon in 2015. I am currently the Director of Marketing for Brooks Wine. I am the wife of musician and music professor Aaron Barnhart and the mother of Ara, the human, and Gideon, the French bulldog.When I’m not at work, I’m hiking, kayaking, biking, cooking, traveling, and, of course, enjoying wine. My favorite place in the world is with the orcas near Vancouver Island, where I photograph and write about them.
