Jillian Bleier is a journalist currently working at WNEP-TV as a TEGNA Producer in Residence. She previously studied at Ithaca College and graduated Summa cum Laude with a B.A. in journalism. She also completed minors in legal studies and Asian American studies. She has worked for the newspaper, The Ithacan, as a reporter and assistant news editor. She has reported on a variety of topics including COVID-19 updates, program changes, college downsizing and student life. Jillian also previously created news content for the journalism startup Forth as a regional reporter. She has written and taken photos for her reporting, with a focus on environmental justice and the Ithaca Green New Deal. Jillian also has experience in broadcast news and is proficient in AP style writing.She is passionate about music, dogs, travel and social justice, and is always excited to tell people’s stories.
