Jill Brackett is the Ambassador and Implementation Lead for Fly Five. With a Masters degree from Lesley University in Elementary Education, and an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Communication Studies from Merrimack College, she has over 17 years of elementary teaching experience in public, charter, and independent schools in both Boston and Los Angeles. Jill’s experience with the Responsive Classroom approach led her to partner with Fly Five in 2019 as a content writer for the School-to-Home Connection, and then as a Curriculum and Instructional Designer. Jill most recently served as an Ambassador for Fly Five, piloting and implementing the curriculum in her fourth grade classroom in West Hollywood, CA. She is a frequent contributor to the Journal of Social Emotional Learning, with the specific focus on setting the classroom conditions for successful SEL implementation, as well as building positive partnerships with families to support SEL work at home. In her role as Ambassador and Implementation Lead, Jill works to recruit, maintain, and support Fly Five’s global network of Ambassadors and Advocates in the field, as well as by offering curriculum and implementation support to Fly Five practitioners around the world.
