Jillian Doherty is the Founder of Balance Academy, a micro-school that serves student-athletes and their families in Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN. She is a dedicated and accomplished education professional with a passion for innovative leadership and student success. Jillian is committed to shaping the future of education through thoughtful leadership, creative programing, community engagement, and continuous learning. Balance Academy is an inclusive and innovative learning environment, welcoming and supporting all students that want an innovative way of completing their academics while accelerating their training in interests outside of traditional education. In addition, Jillian currently serves Midwest Gymnastics Center as their Director of Operations. Midwest Gymnastics is owned and led by Olympic coaches, Jess Graba and Ali Lim. It is also the the home gym of reigning Olympic Gold Medals, Sunisa Lee. As a growing small business, Jillian uses her strengths in person-centered leadership and strategic thinking to see patterns where others see complexity. She supports the staff with the changes that come with growth, while envisioning innovative ideas and solutions for this growing business to thrive. And, maybe most importantly, she loves the sport of gymnastics!
