Signifiant cases I have assisted on as a trainee include: - Advising the judicial managers in relation to the US$895 million to US$1 billion insolvency and restructuring of a shipping conglomerate, Armada- Representing and advising a trust company regarding assets that were dissipated by a defaulting beneficiary- Acting for the trustee for a defaulted corporate bond worth US$54 million issued by a listed pharmaceutical development and packaging Indian company. - Acted for the Respondent in a construction adjudication in respect of a payment dispute involving a project to construct a foreign workers’ dormitory, with a sub-contract value of S$7.98 million- Advising and representing a construction company in pursuing a debt in excess of S$12 million against a Singapore listed company going through a scheme of arrangement- Acting for a contractor in an adjudication that involves a payment claim dispute and issues concerning the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act- Acting for Bank of India in Grains and Industrial Products Trading Pte Ltd v Bank of India and another [2014] SGHC 274, which involves a claim of nearly US$10 million under a letter of credit- Advising a Singapore-based shipping company in a charterparty dispute against disponent owners of the vessel and an injunction to restraint potential winding-up proceedings- Advising and representing a guarantor in setting aside a statutory demand for S$2 million issued by a Thailand-based commodity trader
