Responsible for designing and implementing a data-driven, people-first, and systemic approach to ethical, compliant, and humane applications of AI within Cognizant and globally for clients. Support and develop cross-functional governance structures, partnerships, associate training programs, tools and AI engineering and assurance solutions.

Drive human understanding and compassionate meaning through a rigorous approach to applied qualitative methods. Lead projects, manage teams, mentor colleagues, design research, execute/present ethnographic and mixed-methods insights, and provide strategic guidance for innovation, measurement, system and experience design, and people processes.

At ReD, I worked as a strategy and innovation consultant where I specialized in research design, consumer goods, marketing, branding, innovation road-mapping, and client engagement/ideation workshops for a number of notable clients.

Research: Working primarily at the intersection of cultural sociology and racial and ethnic studies, but informed by comparative and historical sociology, visual and public sociology, and critical theory, my research examines aspects of identity and community that are often thought to be pre-modern, affective, and essential. I am currently completing the book manuscript, Traveling to Belong (chapters available upon request). This book charts the touristic homeland journeys of three different groups of Americans—Jewish American college-aged participants of Birthright-Israel, African Americans traveling to Ghana on heritage tours, and adopted Chinese children and their American families traveling to China—as they hire tour guides and travel internationally to places of ancestral, natal, and symbolic origin. The book examines how racial and ethnic identities are constructed and negotiated at the intersection of diasporic heritage and international travel, and, in the process, it reveals what it means to be American in a globally imagined world. Research: Organized and led a small team of undergraduate research assistants on a big data project about natural disasters and virtual communities. This project first developed in a research-intensive independent study course at Washington University in St. Louis.
