About Jillian Reed

Co-founder of Thrift 2 Fight - come visit our shop in Tivoli NY!I have degrees in both Human Rights and Music Performance from Bard College and Conservatory. My work as a flute performer and educator, and as the Co-Founder of Thrift 2 Fight, is grounded in an understanding and commitment to human rights education and advocacy. My senior thesis, “Health in the Musical Profession: A Human Rights Investigation at the Intersections of Identity, Reputation, and Resources”, was a culmination of a year of firsthand research, including interviews and surveys of musicians who faced career-affecting illness, injury, and disability.
