Member of the Quantum Information with Trapped Ions (QITI) research group working on an outreach project. This 'dust trap' project aimed to adapt a previous experiment ran by the group to be implemented in undergraduate labs at the university. Additionally, the group will use the new modified experiment as an outreach demo for visitors at the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC).Skills developed:- use of the software Github, Inventor 2020, KiCAD, and hardware RaspberryPi.- work on PID controller- assembly of electrical circuits- knowledge of theory involved in particle trapping
