In this position, I teach graduate level courses for the College of Education, as well as Bachelors courses for the College of Humanities and Sciences. I was initially hired into a full-time faculty pilot program to support at-risk, first year college students in the College of Humanities and Sciences. I was recognized as a top performing full-time faculty member for my use of effective teaching strategies and asked to be a mentor to our associate faculty. In this leadership role, I provided virtual training sessions for my colleagues to help them improve their instructional techniques and increase student success. I was also recruited to be a part of the curriculum development team. In this position, I reviewed courses before they were implemented to ensure the content was aligned with the course objectives. I also provided the curriculum development team with suggestions to improve the course content to increase student engagement and create a better experience for students.

During my experiences at Monarch Mountain, I oversaw the day-to-day operations of the childcare facility on the mountain. I was responsible for ensuring the facility and all staff met the licensing requirements for childcare centers in the state of Colorado. Additionally, I was responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations for all of my staff. My responsibilities also included overseeing the budget for this facility that provided meals, ski lessons, ski rentals, and care for over 1000 children.

As the technology leader/mentor at my school, I received two weeks of training from Apple, through the Digital Educator program. I learned strategies to integrate technology into my instruction in order to enhance learning. I supported, trained, and mentored faculty as they worked to integrate technology into their own classrooms.

During my experience as an elementary school teacher, my colleagues nominated me as a candidate for teacher of the year. I was also commended for my knowledge of the field, assessment practices, the use of technology in my classroom, and nurturing a love for learning in my students. In this position, I taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and Fourth Grade.
