Leadership for MEDA's strategic initiatives and external affairs, including Development & Communications, Policy & Advocacy, Place-Based Collective Impact and National Technical Assistance.

Responsible for strategic leadership across MEDA departments including fundraising, communications, HR/operations, evaluation, and risk management & compliance and their integration with MEDA's core programs. MEDA serves over 15,000 clients annually through its asset building programs. MEDA is the backbone agency for the Mission Promise Neighborhood Initiative, recently launched the Adelante Fund CDFI, and is the owner and developer of over 2,000 units of affordable housing in the Mission District and surrounding neighborhoods.

Managed fundraising, communications and marketing for organization with the mission of achieving economic justice for San Francisco's low and moderate income Latino families through asset development. MEDA's programs include: housing counseling, foreclosure intervention, financial education, business development, workforce development, digital literacy training, and free tax preparation. MEDA is the owner of Plaza Adelante, a one-stop asset development center, as well as the lead agency for the Mission Promise Neighborhood. Led fundraising efforts for $10 million + annual budget from a diverse array of foundation, corporate and government funders. Led development of numerous collaborative fundraising applications, including with NALCAB to create the national Latino Tech Net, a $3.7 Million Recovery Act funded project, and the Mission Promise Neighborhood, a $30 Million Department of Education funded initiative.

Co-Instructed Software Projects for Community Clients, a service learning course that allowed students to complete software development projects for non-profit and community based organizational clients. Developed and taught curriculum on Sociology, Urban Poverty, and Community Technology for undergraduates that worked in tandem with the service learning aspect of this course.

Developed & wrote grant applications for community economic development work for organization dedicated to economic development in the North Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago.

Managed fundraising and marketing for an organization that built and developed computer labs and technology based programming in community centers, affordable housing and schools on Chicago's West, Northwest and South Sides. Grew organizational budget from less than $1M to over $3M through government and foundation grants and contracts.

Developed and designed technology-centered programs for workforce development and youth development. Taught and managed after school programs centering on academic achievement, social-emotional health, arts and media. Supported fundraising and grant writing efforts.

For Center for Urban School Improvement, assisted in research study on impact of Scholastic Software reading programs for children's literacy. Collected ethnographic data, created statistical database of information, and assisted classroom teachers with troubleshooting hardware and software.

For Chicago Public Schools & University of Chicago Internet Project, created and implemented Youth Technology Camp for students at a Chicago public elementary school. Included creation of curriculum, staff supervision, program development, and instruction.
