My favorite thing about working as an assistant was building relationships with new and old customers. The biggest takeaway from this job was to remember names. My boss made it very clear that greeting customers by their names when they walked in makes them feel at home. They will often come back because they feel as if they are welcomed.

My main job was serving food to the elderly and I gained a lot of knowledge on how to talk to all different types of people. My favorite thing to do was to train new employees because it validated my leadership skills. It was great to show others how to do the best work on the job and for them to listen.
