I was the Buyer in charge of the F110 and F118 Engine programs. I maintained about 75 PO’s for the F110 program by adding funding when necessary and approving quotes & releases for repairs on a daily basis. After obtaining new pricing for the 2020/21 years from the Suppliers, I was in the process of issuing all new PO’s for that Program and filing all necessary paperwork. In addition, issued PO’s for the F118 Program as needed based on necessity and contractual obligations. Recently was given international program responsibility and issued 10 PO’s for the Egypt contract for the F110 engine line.Other responsibilities included: sending out REQ’s for pricing quotes, staying in constant contact with the shop in Strother, as well with daily communication with Suppliers such as: Standard Aero, Barnes, Triumph etc.

I worked in Indirect Sourcing and was responsible for issue resolution. I spent a lot of my time assisting with thorny A/P issues that weren’t easily resolvable and required a lot of dedicated energy. I was best helping the team create additional bandwidth by tackling critical issues that otherwise would linger or not get resolved quickly enough. I was also a Buyer responsible for Office supplies, PPE/safety equipment, and packing supplies for engine parts. I was given the task of issuing PO’s equaling $25 million dollars for temporary labor space (Adecco), about 2 weeks after I started. A daunting task, but it acclimated me with Buyer responsibilities and I had ownership of these PO’s for the entirety of the year and updated them as needed. Other PO’s I was responsible for were also in the millions, and I oversaw maintaining them. I touched both internal and external stakeholders and bridged the gap in instances when communication had otherwise seemingly broken down. I learned to juggle many, business critical issues simultaneously to allow business to continue largely unencumbered.
