Girls on Boards, launched in 2017, places community-minded, motivated and trained young women living in Canada, between the ages of 18 -25, on non-profit governance boards in their communities. After completing online training and several months of coaching with a G(irls)20 approved coach, young women (“Young Directors”) begin their 1-year term on the board.Young Directors take the online DiverseCity onBoards training which covers:- Board Essentials- Legal Roles & Responsibilities- Finance Fundamentals- Commitment to Diversity- Risk Management- Strategic Planning- Resource DevelopmentYoung Directors, Coaches and Board Mentors all take Gender-Based Analysis Training to learn how:- Unconscious or implicit bias in the workplace- Gender bias interacts with race, class, age, ability- To conduct gender analysis on workplace policies, culture, and organizations’ programming- To develop policy interventions to address gender inequities

VERGE Capital is a social finance program at Pillar Nonprofit Network which has catalyzed over $3.5 million in impact investments serving the Southwestern Ontario region.As a Social Finance Intern, I contributed to the development and launch of a Market & Impact Report for Social Enterprise and Social Finance in Southwestern Ontario using Lean Impact methodology.

Compiled, edited and disseminated any USC publication and weekly mailchimp newsletter by working with USC Executive, staff and Western’s administration.Reviewed, edited and assisted with public communication documents across the USC including presentations, blog posts, meeting briefs and speeches.Participated in media scanning – consistently reading or listening to campus and off-campus media and recording positive, negative or neutral portrayals of the USC. As SHB Marketing and Events Summer Intern I was responsible for administrative and event planning duties for the organizations Annual Evening of Recognition, their largest flagship event. As well, I contributed to the planning and execution of sustainability pop-up events. My other duties included creating template diversity and inclusion policies which member organizations utilized as part of our services. I also contributed to the Business Climate Action Toolkit by completing industry specfifc research in sustainability.

The Social Science Students' Council advocates for 6,000 undergraduate students within our faculty. As Vice President Student Events and Chair of the Events Committee I'm responsible for executing social, charity, and wellness related events for both council and faculty members. In this role, I collaborated on an 1800 person sold out concert in addition to introducing career development opportunities to students by way of hosting a LinkedIn workshop. Additionally, In this role, I was responsible for chairing the Events Committee which was composed of 10 individual students who assisted in excecuting events.

As a summer student at Taylor Steel Inc. working in Accounts Payable and Toll Processing, I was responsible for matching invoices, purchasing orders, and receipts and entering them into the General Ledger. My additional responsibilities included data input, records management, order input and filing production orders and other various paperwork for the accounting department.

In this role, I was responsible for all administrative tasks related to reception. I managed a switchboard answering incoming calls and connecting customers with sales representatives. As well, I updated workplace safety material to comply with provincial standards. In addition, I was responsible for creating transition reports for a future administrator.
