After a successful postdoctoral career in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, I transitioned into the food sector, where I founded an online business that sourced, marketed, and distributed fine foods from small-scale Scottish producers to customers across the UK. This experience highlighted the growing demand from chefs and consumers for high-quality, locally-sourced produce with genuine provenance.Building on this foundation, my husband and I diversified our farm in Angus, leading to the creation of Lunan Bay Farm. Initially, we focused on providing niche farm produce directly to chefs and consumers, and as the business evolved, we embraced sustainability and innovation in agriculture.Today, I lead the commercial and scientific strategy for our pioneering Regenerative Scottish Cashmere project at Lunan Bay Farm. This role allows me to combine my scientific expertise with my passion for sustainable agriculture, driving our mission to produce eco-friendly, premium textiles that align with the growing market demand for ethically sourced products.I’m deeply involved in all aspects of our on-farm operations, from strategic planning to business development, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and environmental stewardship. My journey reflects a passion for both science and sustainability, and I am committed to advancing regenerative practices that benefit both our land and our community.
