Advocating for health and sustainable solutions are the foundation of who I am and what drives me to do the important work that I do everyday. I have 10 years of extensive experience practicing and collecting knowledge around non-toxic living and plastic free/sustainable solutions for everyday life. I enjoy the pass time of always learning more and believe that sustainable, non-toxic and reduced-waste living are ongoing practices that continue to grow and evolve with time. I come from a diverse background of service industry careers. Some of those include route sales delivery, grocery department management, community support work, and shared living provider services for those unable to live independently. More recently before working as a full-time independent beauty consultant, I worked for four years as a professional nanny providing in home child care for three families. This diverse career background has allowed me to hone in on the things that I am passionate about, find out where my strengths are best put to use and has also given me hands on, diverse insight about various parts of my community and about the interconnectedness of our world. I chose to work with Beautycounter as their mission and values align with my life values and this job gives me the tools to make everyday positive impacts to better the lives of the people in my community and in my network. Advocating for, and educating about, clean beauty and about the lack of regulatory laws in the U.S. personal care industry are of the upmost importance to me. I do this career because we all deserve better and the industry needs to change. Change can only happen if enough people demand it. We all deserve to know about the dangers of the products that we use and put trust in everyday. My job is to educate and empower people about the resources that they have so that they can make more informed decisions and protect their health and the health of their loved ones.
