Contributing to the Open edX learning management system and analytics platforms, and providing client institutions with custom Open edX deployments, course enhancements, and platform features. At OpenCraft I participate in the Open edX Core Contributor's program, I mentor newcomers to the team, manage clients and projects as well as the overall resourcing of my team's projects, provide estimations and quotes for prospective clients. I developed client- and server-side software for the Thereitis search visualisation tool. Also created internal tools for deployment management, and prototyped social shopping applications.

I developed and maintained customer- and staff-facing web applications, and the SOAP and REST services that support them.Internode uses the Agile development methodology and test-driven development.

I developed and maintained Oracle database-driven applications including the UoA CMS, the Program Finder, Staff Directory, and News & Events.

I provided PHP support for WordPress installations, set up MySQL databases, and did some basic application development in Catalyst.

For this role, I learned Objective-C and Apple WebObjects tobuild and maintain sales and supply standalone and web relational database applications. I implemented an email notification system using JavaMail, and addedseveral other features to the software suite. The developers worked with 20+ people in several departments under a structured development framework.

After completing my honors work at the University of Iowa, I was employed to implement some behavioral elements in the driving simulator: autonomous and user-directed vehicles. All code waswritten in C++ using Visual C++ on Windows NT. Everyday work was done with with a team of 3 people, and integrated the work of 10 others from a remote site in Los Angeles.
