In January 2013, Rising Hope Counseling, LLC opened in Pierre, SD. Since the first day I opened my doors, I have always trusted that I would help people through the gifts and tools that I have been blessed. I was given the opportunity to help many people. With many signs, my husband and I decided that we would expand so that I could train other clinicians to provide quality services to those in the Pierre community and surrounding areas. June 2018 I transitioned into a larger office space. In March and April 2019, I hired my first two clinicians and moved to a group practice in Pierre, SD.I began to hear of the need of services in rural areas throughout the state. Unfortunately/Fortunately, it can be difficult to obtain the clinicians in specific areas as I had dreamt. Therefore, we decided that we would find clinicians in areas of need and build practices within their home area to enhance mental health services in that location; in hopes of making many dreams come true. What a blessing it has been! Since March of 2020 We have added 15 additional practice locations and hired additional clinicians as well as a CNP to provide medication management services!We also wanted to extend our services to women who may not be comfortable walking through our doors or those who yearn to transform with self growth. We developed a Women's Conference held in Pierre, SD.

Helping people live a better life through my speeches is such an honor. Everyone deserve a chance to Rise to awareness, have Hope for their Future, and Live their dream.Understanding the brain can only focus for certain time spans, I create a dynamic speaking engagement to keep my audience attentive because the information that I have is accumulate of my favorite lessons I have learned. It is my job to deliver an engaging speech to enhance the experience of my audience so they have the tools to live their best life. My favorite topics include brain health, overcoming burnout, finding happiness, motherhood from the inside out and teaching leaders how to transform their styles of connecting with people.I love giving a capturing, energetic, motivational speech reflecting on ways to heal from the inside out. Every person endures obstacles in their life and we need to focus on those as life lessons. Social Media is changing the dynamic of our core beliefs and feeding them with toxic messages. We need to understand that our ego is desperate to follow influences, but we need to decide what your journey is in this lifetime. Choose you. Choose to make a change for you. Choose to live your best life.

My theoretical approach is solution focused, client centered, family systems, energy psychology, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I am EMDR certified which has changed the dynamic of my therapy. I have been blessed to witness changes with children and adults through this technique – it has been life changing!!I have helped many people through depression, bullying issues, suicidal ideation, anxiety, grief issues, anger management, mood disorders, children experiencing loss due to divorced parents or loss of a parent, adjustments to life stresses, adults with childhood trauma and more.My passion has been working with people to overcome the injuries and hardships of their life experiences. Through identifying those experiences and examining which assumptions, beliefs of self, and automatic thoughts have been created, we learn how it impacts your current life decisions and behaviors. We will identify how these early life experiences creates the physical sensations and reactions in your current life. At times, I will lead clients to reconnect with their inner child or re-parent that child within to heal old wounds.
