- Respond to compliance/regulation inquiries. This involves effectively communicating with internal and external client base to collect the necessary information, analyzing the information thoroughly, researching relevant work comp bill review and utilization review rules and regulations, and preparing the written response. - Serve as liaison with state work comp and insurance agencies. - Manage jurisdictional bill review and UR Plan filings and licensing with state work comp/insurance agencies.- Create shared library of all pertinent work comp bill review and UR schedules, rules, licensing, reporting, etc.- Collect, analyze, and advise organization of work comp regulatory changes, including legislation research and monitoring, through a monthly regulatory newsletter for internal and external client base.- Compliance specialties include electronic data interchange (e-billing and state reporting processing/guidelines), EORs, timeliness of processing, penalties/assessments, industry standard forms and coding, dispute management, fee schedule regulations, and utilization review regulations for workers' compensation industry.- Assist with regulatory reporting (5010/837 and the like) to ensure TPPs are created/current and required data elements are provided, corrected, and documented.- Vendor and subsidiary compliance reporting for parent company.
