Building relationships, advising and coaching clients from a wide range of industries on employment law and HR issues, ensuring that clients have options and understand risks.

Providing a fully operational and commercially focused shared services HR function nationally in an FMCG retail environment for 1500+ employees over 190 sites and up to 7 Area Managers covering all areas of HR from cradle to grave; basic HR functions through to redundancy and tribunal. Responsible for coaching managers to become effective people managers and providing expert advice to Directors, Area and Branch Managers on all aspects of HR and employment law.

A generalist HR role including resourcing, training and development, performance management, change management, communication and employee relations, The role included ensuring compliance with the Investors in People and Lexcel standards. The role was also an advisory capacity for Line Managers HR issues. Disciplinaries and grievances were undertaken and recorded. Project work included career progression for secretaries, improvement of quality of the intake of trainee solicitors, employer branding and computerisation of HR procedures. I was responsible for the development and implementation of the firm's HR and Training Plans. Previously in this role I was responsible for facilities management also.
