Jill M. Paulson, MD, MBA, is the founding endocrinologist at Ryse Health, an innovative start-up dedicated to helping patients with type 2 diabetes live healthier lives.She has a particular interest in obesity, diabetes, and metabolic disease levering technology to help patients with these conditions.She received her undergraduate degree from Brown University with honors. She completed medical school at New York University School of Medicine (NYU), followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC)/Harvard Medical School. After practicing as a hospitalist, Dr. Paulson completed a three-year fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism in a joint program between BIDMC and Joslin Diabetes Center.Dr. Paulson has worked in various roles as an endocrinologist, educator, and physician leader, including private practice, academics at two major medical centers, and now at a start-up. Before her current role, Dr. Paulson was a clinical endocrinologist and educator at George Washington University (GWU), serving as the fellowship director for the dual-site (GWU and VA) ACGME accredited fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. She has served on numerous national committees for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and currently serves as the President for the Mid-Atlantic Society of Endocrinology (MASE).
