I write a monthly column as well as pen features on a variety of topics. I also shoot the photography for the features I write.

Ryerson University Continuing Education

I was charged with creating and executing a new design section for the magazine. This involved assigning and editing stories from freelance writers in addition to penning features myself. I worked closely with the art department on all magazine elements.

I was the editor of a bi-weekly travel section for Sun Media. For 15 years I traveled extensively, wrote articles, and shot the accompanying photography. I oversaw layouts, hired freelancers, and administered the budget. I coordinated all this with the marketing and advertising departments as well as occasionally preparing presentations for advertisers. I also penned a weekly travel column and frequently appeared as a travel expert on CTV Canada AM, City-TV Breakfast Television, and CBC Newsworld.

I crossed over to Corporate Communications with Oxford Developments where my managerial responsibilities included creating and executing communications strategies for large U.S.-based architectural projects. In conjunction with a graphic designer, I also wrote and designed an in-house publication.

As production manager for CFTO-TV in Toronto, I managed multi-million dollar production budgets for a wide range of shows like the Miss Universe Pageant and Billy Graham Crusade.

I was Locations Manager for the ABC-TV series Ripley's Believe It Or Not based in France and Belgium.

I worked as an on-air reporter for CBC in Vancouver covering local and some national news.

I began my career as a general-assignment reporter for the Toronto Star where I wrote Toronto-based entertainment and news features that included an exclusive interview withthe Shah of Iran.
