My diverse background in education allows me to lead a team of professional educators to focus on improving the academic experience for all children. Within Slinger High School, I excelled at educating teenagers in a suburban, affluent community. Throughout my ten years in Slinger, I gradually assumed more and more administrative responsibilities, including coordinating the at risk program, administering non-athletic activities, managing the behavior of about 900 students, and working collegially on the administrative team. Roselawn elementary, where I currently work, I lead a team of 30 professional staff to innovatively educate 425 children, ages four to twelve. In direct dichotomy to Slinger, the free and reduced lunch rate is about 45% at Roselawn. Despite any obstacles, Roselawn's innovative programs and high quality, individualized education results in children performing at high levels, as measured on local assessments, as well as State standardized tests.
