According to my mother, teaching was always my destiny. Spending a semester abroad in Cuernavaca, Mexico (September, 1986) began my love of culture, and I was fortunate to spend 30 of my 33 classroom years teaching ancient world history to sixth graders. I loved my job so much that when our district adopted a case study of Russia, I included a visit to St. Petersburg during my European vacation. In addition to my classroom responsibilities, I enjoyed mentoring novice teachers, hosting student teachers, chairing my building's Social Committee, working on curriculum projects, and helping to establish our district's Sick Bank Committee. Upon retirement (June, 2022), I began making plans for my first "Bucket List" item, attending all of the Buffalo Bills home games (30 years of season tickers) AND away games. With a different friend or relative for each away game, I had a wonderful time meeting new people, traveling to different places, and cheering on my favorite team.And now it's time to find my "Chapter 2" . My dream job will allow me to use the best of my teaching career and Buffalo Bills experience by providing me opportunities to...-meet new people -be creative-collaborate with others-present information-feel the same passion I did in my job and following the Buffalo Bills-MAKE A DIFFERENCE
