With over 30 years of public relations and communications experience in the non-profit and governmental sectors, I continue to work to advance great causes and support others in helping people in our communities through effective communication, outreach, and advocacy.Some career highlights include; 1) received the 2024 Rehabilitation Professional of the Year from the Arc of Alabama for assistance with its first annual Disability Advocacy Day; 2) published, "The PR Perspective: A Public Relations Resource for Housing Authority Leaders," 2006, for the Public Housing Authorities Directors Association & Rutgers University; 3) received written commendation for effective public relations efforts from the Montgomery Housing Authority Board of Directors, 2003; 4) received The Medallion Award and The Best of Show Award from the Public Relations Council of Alabama (PRCA), 2003; 5) received The President's Award from the Montgomery Association of Business Communicators (MABC), 1999, 2000, and 2002; 6) received the Starr Award from PRCA for publications, 2001; 7) received the Communication of the Year Award from MABC, 1999.
