40 years' experience of running organisations and providing strategic communications direction to change-makers and helping lift the lid on tough, often taboo, social issues. I have worked with non-profits, businesses and government departments on issues including human rights, loneliness and social isolation, end of life, child protection, dementia, ageism and women's rights. And on the way I have worked with some amazing activists, from high profile people like Anita Roddick to prisoners of conscience and mental health service users who don't get the recognition or support they deserve. I was a founding director of The Big Issue, have been a trustee of The Royal Parks Foundation, The Forgiveness Project, Jamie Oliver Food Foundation, Children on the Edge and the International Longevity Centre.Positive change, big or small, is what drives me. I enjoy being a catalyst, helping to mobilise and inspire others to work on things that otherwise they might never have done.
