I have a great deal of experience, both in education and business. As a trustee on the board of the White Horse Federation multi academy trust, I use this knowledge to improve the lives of 13,000 children and young people. After graduating in business studies, I spent 13 successful years with IPC Magazines, where I progressed to director level. Upon leaving IPC, I moved to Wiltshire and qualified to teach economics and business at GCSE and A-level. I've worked in both the state and private sectors for 10 years, and introduced enterprise programmes in all of my schools. During this time, I developed a proven record of raising pupil achievement and attainment at entry level, GCSE, and A-level.In recent years I've held the position of vice chair of governors at a school for pupils with autism and complex needs. This role equipped me with an in-depth knowledge of the special schools sector, multi-academy trusts, school governance, and working with local authorities.Outside of work, I spend my free time with charities that improve literacy in primary schools. I'm also a trained florist, and run my own floristry business.I possess extensive management experience in the commercial and education sectors as well as comprehensive expertise in the pastoral care of sixth form pupils and supporting progression into further and higher education. I'm looking to build a connections with like minded individuals who are working towards similar objectives and are willing to share and collaborate.
